ZYOPTIX procedure
A new milestone for laser eye treatment.
Bausch&Lomb's unique laser vision correction system developed the Lasik procedure to a new level of precision.Wavefront technology is a diagnostic tool which provides a more accurate and truly personalized vision correction.
The Zyoptix treatment is based on the LASIK procedure, but offers you some more by its special diagnostics. This treatment also involves the creation of a flap, but the method used is different. It differs from the traditional programs by allowing a totally personalized treatment.
With the use of wavefront measurement tools, the Zyoptix system is sensitive to the small imperfections in the shape of the eye that can cause a scattering of light, which in turn can contribute to vision impairment.
The most important properties of Zyoptix:
- Fast and painless
- Quick recovery
- 20% less tissue needs to be removed
- More treatment possibilities and can correct conditions with higher diopters
- Better vision quality
- Excellent vision even when light conditions vary
- Advanced safety mechanisms that garuantee a successful procedure
LASIK
The most popular procedure
Laser treatments using the creation of a flap have developed a lot in the last few years. The first LASIK type surgery was performed in 1991 and it has been the most refined and popular techinique since. Thousands of LASIK procedures are performed every year in the world.
What is the secret of the success of LASIK?
The procedure is painless and it takes no longer than 3-5 minutes. For most patients the results are immediate and they can see clearly on the day of surgery.
How is LASIK performed?
The surgeon, using a special precise device (microkeratome), creates a flap consisting of the upper corneal layer. This flap is lifted so that the laser procedure can be performed on the area underneath. This takes about 1-2 minutes for each eye.
The LASIK procedure is performed by an automated machine designed specifically for the ultrafine needs of eye correction. The instrument has many built-in safety systems that supervise the entire procedure, reducing risk to the lowest possible level. The safety and results of LASIK have been supported by many clinical tests. Its popularity is growing continually, because patients receive many unquestionable benefits, based on a decade of experience.
LASIK- a real miracle!
